Inside: Too much to list!

We have had several exciting updates with some of our ongoing ministries.
Baskets for safe homes:
In 2009, FBC Thomson launched a ministry to provide hygiene baskets for Safe Homes, a shelter serving victims of domestic violence throughout the CSRA. We committed to supplying a basket for every individual seeking refuge from abuse.
From 2009 through 2025, our church has provided 1,623 “Welcome Baskets,” each filled with hygiene essentials, a Bible, journal, devotional, a mug with tea or cocoa, and a cozy flannel throw. Thanks to your generosity, this ministry continues to share the love of Christ with those hurting physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
Each month, we collect specific items in the blue mission bin in the atrium. Your donations help sustain this important ministry—one of many supported through these monthly collections.
Backpacks:
While at the Georgia Baptist Convention this past week, we were able to hand off 72 fully packed backpacks to be distributed as part of an ongoing ministry in south Georgia. They were very appreciative and look forward to handing these backpacks out to kids in need!

Operation Christmas Child:
Our team of volunteers has been hard at work this week collecting shoeboxes from our region! As of today, we have collected over 1,300 shoeboxes!

Speaking of shoeboxes, our church has met our physical goal of 300 shoeboxes, but we have not yet met our goal for online shoeboxes, and it's not too late! Click HERE to pack a shoebox online! Remember, this gift is not just about sharing a physical gift with a child, but the opportunity to share the gospel with them! Your donations change lives!

Tomorrow night is our Community Thanksgiving Service. This year the service will be held at Thomson First Methodist and David Lambert will be bringing the message. Come join us to give thanks to God for all he has done this year!

Advent devotions will be available to pick up tomorrow! Please grab one per family. The devotions will begin on November 30. Thanks to all who contributed to this years devotion, I know you will be blessed by these!

Names for our Foster Care Angel Tree will be available tomorrow after church in the atrium. Gifts will be due back, unwrapped, on December 7! This year, there are 33 kids. Thanks for your generosity towards this ministry!

We are bringing back the Lottie Moon Post office this year. Rather than putting cards for church members in the mail and paying the post office, bring your cards to our Lottie Moon Post office and make a donation. Cards will be sorted out and placed in the appropriate "mailboxes".

Last but not least, we hope that you will make plans to join us for a concert by Mark Trammell and the Whisnants. This has become a great tradition for us to bring in the Christmas season. Doors will open at 5:00 PM. The concert is free, but a love offering will be received.
