We had such a wonderful time with our kids last weekend! We presented 9 first graders with Bibles in worship and then enjoyed "Pizza with the Pastors" after church on Sunday! The kids (and Pastors) had a great time playing games and getting to know one another better!
Our Wednesday Night programs for kids started last night at we had a great turn out! If you're kids weren't here, make plans for them to join us for Team Kid, Tiny Kid, or Elevate!
There will be a deacon orientation Monday, August 15 at 7:00 PM for those men who were nominated to serve as deacons.
Starting Wednesday, August 17 Dr. David Lambert will be leading the adults through a study of the Bible in the World it was written in. This is will be an interesting and informative study looking at the places where the heroes of our faith lived and were led to write the scriptures.
Plan to stop by the church August 18 from 1-6 PM to donate blood. What a great way to show love to our community!
Whether you are new to our church, have been visiting for a while, or recently joined, we hope that you will join us for a Next Steps Luncheon immediately following worship on August 28. You will get to know our pastors, learn more about the ministries of FBC, and have a chance to ask questions! E-mail Christy Tarver to make your reservation! (We want to make sure to have enough food.)

We will observe the Lord's Supper together on Sunday, August 21. A benevolence offering will be received at the end of the service.
We are partnering with Georgia Baptists and Mission Georgia again this year to provide a "One Day Fun Day" event for Foster Families and Kids in our area. The event will be
Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM.
Please note that due to the nature of this event, this is not open to families in our church. We do, however, need volunteers for this event. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and complete a background check. If you would like to help with this event, please contact Kathy Hendrix (khendrix@fbcthomson.org)
