Be a Disciple
The good news is that we have a message and a relationship to share that radically transforms and changes lives. Jesus brings light into darkness. Yesterday evening at Elevate, I discussed with the youth the conversion and radical transformation of Saul. Even the apostles did not know at first how to handle a former terrorist (Acts 9:19b-27). Luckily, the disciples would soon accept him into fellowship and God mightily used him for the Kingdom. The Lord can use you too! It’s important that we do not disregard Jesus’ command (Acts 1:8). The call from our pastor this past Sunday is to do exactly what Paul did at the start of his ministry. “Saul was coming and going with them in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord” (Acts 9:28 HCSB, emphasis mine). Think about the potential of revival for our church, for McDuffie County and for our country if we speak boldly in the name of the Lord!
