 Upward Basketballtm is an evangelistic sports ministry specifically designed for 1st through 6th grade boys and girls that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every child.
With rules specially tailored for Upward®, it is a basketball program that can help the most experienced player improve their game, but at the same time give the child that’s never played in a game before plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Upward® limits the demands placed on your busy schedule, with only one hour of practice a week, and all games are on Saturdays.
The Upward® Calendar:
- The Early-Bird Registration at $50 ends October 24th. After that, the cost is $65. Registration ends on November 3rd.
- Evaluation Nights are November 1st (6-7:30 pm for 1st-2nd graders, 7-8:30pm for 3rd-4th graders) and November 3rd (6-7:30pm for 5th-6th graders, and make-up for anyone from 7-:830pm)
- Practices are weekly, only one hour, one night per week, beginning the week of November 28th.
- Games begin January 14, 2012, and run for 8 weeks. All games are played at the church gym on Saturdays between 9 AM and 2 PM.
- The season concludes with a fun-packed Awards Night on March 4, 2011, with an end-of-the-season family celebration at the church Park with inflatables, food, door prizes, music, and more!
 Upward® also provides an opportunity for the adults in our church to become meaningfully involved in ministry. Without committed volunteers to pray for our program, coach teams, referee, and share devotions, Upward® wouldn’t be possible!
Our main purpose in Upward® is to develop relationships in order to open avenues of ministry to the people of our community.
